Spotlight on: Zuzana Krempaska

We are starting today a new type of posts on The Round Blog: "Spotlight". These posts will focus on a professional we have worked with, someone who left an impression on us, someone we wouldn't hesitate a second before endorsing. The first "Spotlight on" is for someone special, someone who have been walking our professional path for more than a year with us, our first makeup artist.
The day we decided to cast "Zuzuletta" as our makeup artist has been a lucky day. I have told this many times, but I still think it.
We have been knowing Zuzana for more than a year now and not only she has become the first Make Up Artist in our book, more importantly she has become a friend, a trusted one. She has seen the improvements in our photography, following us during our workshops and, from time to time, posing for us when we had troubles with unreliable models.
Quality, Creativity, Consistency, Speed

Quality: Since the first test with her, Zuzana showed us a love for what she does, and with that love she deliveries Make Up of great quality. We have always looked at her work and we have never been let down; on the contrary, many times she was able to deliver much more than we expected.

Creativity: When we work we truly believe that the real power comes from playing everyone's strengths, and in a team we like to trust the professionals we work with. Make Up is no exception and there are few artists we trust as much as Zuzana and she never let us down. When in front of the model she knows in a heartbeat what works and what does not and she is not afraid of bringing her ideas and experience on the table. She has never overridden one of our requests, but rarely we had to stop her from delivering some great results: this is how we like to work, giving the best people the possibility to express themselves.

Consistency: Every time we bring the camera to our eyes we want to take a great photo. There isn't a single shot I have shoot in which I was not looking to create a great image. Sadly, or more precisely realistically, not every shot is great, but at least the consistency of the result of a session are there. For her make up we are used to an artist capable of showing great result session after session after session. We have been treated very well from Zuzana.

Speed: We like to work in a relaxed, friendly environment. We hate people shouting directions, the only level we want to raise during our session is the level of enthusiasm, not the stress one. That said we have time constraints, like everyone else, therefore knowing that a model will be ready in twenty five minutes and not in an hour is a big advantage, because give us thirty five minutes more for the photos. One of the advantage of working with Zuzana is that she knows that time is important and we do not need to remind her this, moreover when we ask how much time she needs to finish a make up, her estimate are accurate, therefore we can plan the session and the times with great precision. If she says ten, we know it will be ten!
